RIP Gordon Burn - very sad news 14 Years, 9 Months ago  
Only 61 and one of my favourite writers (as mentioned many times on here) - I just read his latest; Born Yesterday (it is superb) and his Alma Cogan is one of the great British novels.

And I believe he once interviewed me.

I read his book, Pocket Money, telling the fascinating story of professional snooker in the 80s, when I was about 10 years old (I still have it).
A bright man who thoroughly researched all his subjects.
