Uri Gellar - My friend Michael Jackson 14 Years, 9 Months ago
If Uri Gellar was such a great friend of Michael Jackson, why is he dishing the dirt on him only a month after his death. Gellar just seems like a hanger-on who attaches himself to famous people to promote himself (e.g. David Blane, Muhammed Al Fayed, MJ).

I saw this show but did not hear Uri dishing any dirt. Everything he said about Michael Jackson was in a positive light. Ok, he admitted that Michael had a drug problem, but I doubt there's many people who hadn't already figured that one out. Even then, he spoke out of friendship. There was nothing negative in this interview at all.

I would say that putting someone under an hypnotic trance without there permission is a bit sleazy, which Gellar admitted to doing.
My "dishing the dirt" comments were mainly based on the trailers for the show which highlighted the few negative views on Jackson. After seeing the show on Itv player it does generally give a positive impresssion on Michael.

I got the impression Michael Jackson was willingly put under hypnosis but did not know what questions Uri Geller had asked him. He said that Michael Jackson was excited about the idea of being hypnotised.

Madame Arcarti has just had a go at Uri Geller for the similar reason.

I've met him twice and I really like Uri. Mainly because he is such a hustler and doesn't really hide it.

The last time was in Sydney at the home of Lady Mary Fairfax..a top society dame who inherited a publishing empire who regularly allows her huge house and gardens to be used for charity bashes.

I arrived early with a pal who had just started writing for the then Oz edition of the National Enquirer.

There was no-one else there but Uri and his manager brother Skipi. Naturally I zipped over and we introduced ourselves and Uir grilled me on who the would be the richest and most important people there.

Hustling like crazy but he's very charismatic.

Later that night..and he was an unannounced guest..he got up and Lady Mary got her butler to bring the best silver. He bent spoons and forks like crazy and said people should be wary..they could expect old watches to start..new ones to stop and it really happened and to 2 friends at my table. One who had an old watch she had been carrying around in her handbag started ticking for the first time in years..another guy whose keys bent completely back which he discovered when he went to his car.

All very odd..mind you the weather was looking threatening
and for a marquee at the end of a sloping garden didn't look like fun. Uri commanded the storm clouds to disperse.

The rain bucketed down for an hour turning the whole night into a muddy mess.

He's quite well known for using his 'psychic powers' to do this or predict his football team to win - often with opposite results. I must admit to seeing him on TV on a few occasions and being disappointed with his performances which seem rather lacklustre and not even at the level of Paul Daniels.

Uri must have very good powers of persuasion to persuade Michael Jackson to get on a train at Paddington Station and travel all the way to Exeter to watch League 2 football.
