Ena Sharples swore by it and now the health benefits of Stout seem to have been recognised by the medical profession. Personally i cant stand the stuff.

agreed..can't stand Guiness but all beer is good for you !

But isn't it about time science developed a hangover cure for the elderly ? Why should the young have all the fun without the downside ?.

Not so long ago they used to give a bottle of stout to patients in hospital short of iron.
