Midsomer Murders tonight 14 Years, 9 Months ago
Excellent episode and a very "different" one. I particularly liked the Barnaby speech about " A State within state" when faced with being cut out of the investigation.

Lots of sex and murders as well !!!

Much better than the first episode.

Just settling down now and enjoying V FOR VENDETTA on BBC 3. So topical.

I enjoyed last week's but I was doing some late studio work last night and totally forgot about it. That said, they repeat things so often these days that I know I'll get to see it at some point.

MM is the most drawn out and long winded series on TV - its made for export. Each episode could take 40mins and Nettles is so wooden. Emotion, anger - what is that?

I could swallow a meal in 2 minutes or drink a bottle of fine wine in 3 minutes. MM is the antedote to our fast food style life.

The length of MM is what makes it special. You get a chance to enjoy the characters and the scenery. You get a chance to really immerse yourself in its "silliness" which is superb.

It is the ultimate fantasy programme on the TV and I wish the episodes were 3 hours long if they are the quality of last night !!!

you certainly have a point and Nettles isn't Oscar material but I just like him for some strange reason and I liked that series he did on the island which I've forgotten the name of.

This must be the last of the series as he's retiring and I really enjoy it.
Perhaps it's because we are being starved of really good Brit shows on Oz TV..mainly because that frigging Murdoch and his cable newtwork is snapping up all the UK shows for his UKTV channel and I refuse to pay the exorbitant price demanded for a packaged series of 40 channels that consists of re-runs of the Jetsons and I love Lucy.

Even worse-the brilliant 2nd government Oz TV network SBS which broadcast about 3 movies every night from every country outside the UK and USA has been reduced to second rate documentaries as Murdoch demands an exorbitant sum for his World Movies channel to view what we once saw for free.

That's what happens when a government gets into bed with this monster and beware-his son has got his eye on neutering the BBC.
