It appears that the laws on lap dancing clubs are going to change so that they are categorized along with sex shops and strip clubs.

What is the point in this law, other than to potentially close down many clubs and leave thousands out of work. These clubs don't do any harm, other than to empty the pockets of gullible punters.

It seems that this law was motivated by the need for middle-aged women to punish younger more attractive women for whom men would willingly pay to watch dance.

I personally think such clubs are a waste of money, but I wouldn't stop others from enjoying this harmless pleasure.

sounds similar to the once amazingly liberal and loose Berlin in the early 30's where anything went..until the Nazis started their crackdown on "public morals" !

HaHa, excellent point Robbie. Likewise with Jacqui Smith and Harrite Harm men's bans on paying for sex and defining child porn into the twenties.

Unfortunately, our government has rather a lot of middle-aged women at the helm these days.

as far as I'm concerned-when a bunch of people get behind close doors I couldn't give a damn what they do if they are all in agreement-even if it means famous blokes dressing up as Nazis , Conservative politicians in net stocking etc etc...
