Stunning New video of the STAR ! 14 Years, 8 Months ago

This is THE "STAR" that everyone is talking about. A bright light - spinning almost and changing colour. This is a really good video of it first in normal size then on zoom - done two days ago in the USA.

I have a feeling that "these" STARS are everywhere - in other words there are more than one. The media is still not reporting this yet day after day websites all round the World are full of sightings. Anyone who has seen this with their own eyes knows the deal - this is not a normal sight in the SKY.

These "UFOs" want to be seen. Otherwise they would not be sitting in the sky like this performing light shows. Every so often beams of light come out of these objects ( not on video - but many eye witnesses report this and when me and my partner were watching it this happened and nearly made us fall over with shock )

I still cant understand why these stars are not being reported in the press and why those people with large telescopes dont seem to have made any statements about them. Perhaps they have been "CLASSIFIED" - which would mean any telescope operator would get locked up if they revealed what they are seeing ?

This is the biggest mystery that has happened in my life. I do believe it is important. No idea why or what still. But if you get a chance to look at the sky and see this please post your views and if you know anyone who is in this field please ask them.

BR- I got a reply from my astronomer friend who is still a UFO sceptic...,mainly because like most scientists they only believe what they can prove.

He did say that people commonly mistake clear skies as being ideal star spotting conditions but it's air-wave movement that makes all the difference and that's why he has to travel to some really remote places like Tahitian islands or the Andes where the airwaves are apparently very still.

And those airwaves can cause all sorts of distortions which could explain 'flashing' style sightings.

Oddly-this guy who still doesn't believe in UFOs was a great friend of Arthur C.Clarke and has been hired as the astronomy expert on a planned film of one of his books-about a giant UFO style planet !

Apparently Arthur Clarke-a scientist as well, firmly believed in UFOs and life on other planets.,

A light shimmering against blackness. No clouds or other features to persuade us that this really is in the sky. I'm not saying it's definately a fake, but it's hardly convincing proof either.

If a camcorder can zoom in on this "star" then most telescopes available in places like Argos can study it much better, and these are owned by millions of people across the globe. As they are bought casually and privately, it's unlikely that they've all been censored or classified. East enough for a telescope owner to post images on the internet which would be clearer and more detailed than those from normal digital cameras.

The more videos I see of this "star" the less convinced I become.

I have to admit being intrigued by these 'Star' reports.

There does seem to be quite a bit of andecdotal evidence from observers all over the world, and the videos are now beginning to appear on the web.

Emma makes a very good point with regards to BR's link - there is nothing else in the sky to give any perspective.

However, have a look at this one.

At first glance, the quality is very poor, but when the camera operator zooms back, you'll see the object is most definitely in the sky.

Thanks for that video Pete - that is exactly what I have been seeing.

I also agree that it is strange that people with large telescopes have not picked up on this as far as I am aware.

Good point about atmospheric conditions as well. La Palma in the Canary Islands has a large array of telescopes to stop interference by pollution etc. which can cause "illusions" etc.

My best evidence for it is that I have seen it myself - along with loads of other people and we were basically entranced and shocked by what we were seeing.

If anyone has any more updates please post them - and thanks for helping me "deal" with the experience ! I have a video taken on my phone which shows this "star" as I have said - and it is very similar to the one that starts this thread except mine does not have the zoom in - and I do show where we are filming from - which is what I know you have to do when filming sky objects to put it in perspective.

I do not know whether I have seen this particular star or not. The later video which shows the star zoomed in and then pans back to show the skyline demonstrates that, to the naked eye, it is no bigger than many bright stars which have been visible for years. Most cameras lose quality when zooming in on far off objects, and the brighter objects often appear large and shimmering. The strange halos around stars are usually very thin clouds capturing the light. The moon can sometimes appear that way too. There are many interesting theories about the current bright star(s) but also many possible ordinary explanations.

Last night, as I was out trying to watch the meteor shower, I saw many stars speckling the sky, two of which seemed brighter than the one in the video. One had a slight orange tint, but that's fairly normal in my experience.

Unfortunately, I did not see any shooting stars last night.

Whilst out looking for meteors last night I too spotted a very bright star in a south easterly direction. Never saw one so bright before. Very distracting.

Francis - I can assure you it is alot brighter than any other star. In fact on the video if you look it is not just brighter - it is the only star in the sky. Cameras find it hard to pick up ordinary stars and usually only get the moon.

My own video shows no other star in the sky. This could mean that this "star" is in fact closer to us than the others ? perhaps sitting just outside the Earth's atmosphere or in orbit at the same place as the Moon.
That would account for it looking very strange in that video as well. I dont think you can explain the close up in the orginal video with the illusion/dust. It literally bounces around on my video as well....it is very very very strange.

I have seen shooting stars by the way - and they are lovely and beautiful and are of a similar brightness to this star which leads me to think that the STAR is on the edge of our atmosphere.
