The BBC Green Shoots "story" will be history as it is clear that the economy is lurching downwards yet again in the last 6 weeks. It is even worse than last summer in many retail according to friends.
This lack of honest by the BBC Is very worrying - because VAT needs to be taken away completely in order to get us through this recession. In addition fuel tax should be cut in half to reduce Petrol by 40p a litre.
The economy needs brave action. The billions given to the banks have been paid out in bonuses to their elite. This shows Brown may have stabilised the banks but he has not helped the UK economy at all.
The next few months look very difficult and it will be interesting to see if it is worse than last Autumn. Certainly house prices will fall heavily again because the summer has not seen any real gains in the buying season. Very few people move in the Autumn / Winter and so prices may come down massively in order to tempt a buyer out.
