Simon Dee has passed away from cancer,wonder if anyone has any memories to share?

From what I can gather, he was a decent guy who's downfall was a combination of believing his own hype, terrible advice & taking on "the powers that be" - who in turn more or less conspired to destroy him.

He seemed to eventually take it all in his stride, and at least lived to be a (reasonably) old man in spite of his lifestyle
