Isn't it a case that some people are inherently evil and and will commit such acts whilst others are caring individuals? Apparently the father used to make them fight each other like "pit bulls" and encouraged violence. He must take a large slice of responsibilty.

(she also did a follow-up which the tabloids went batty about but most shrinks treat it like a bible now). And she did a brilliant biog of Albert Speer in which she was able to interview him exstensively.
