Either he was ill, traumatised, or completely bewildered. Either way it was one of the most cringiest One Show's of all time.

Embarrassing in fact.

Agreed.I just caught the last few minutes where they had stuck him with a load of vegetables (and some marrows and parsnips too:laugh:) and I have to say he was wearing an expression of complete bewilderment.

Only ever tried to watch it once, and decided that it was so facile that I haven't ever deliberately revisited it. Each time I have caught the end of it since {while waiting for something else to come on} I have always had the overarching impression that I was right in my initial judgement. Pointless daytime TV somehow promoted to an evening slot.

Don't get me wrong I love Alan Whicker. I think he and JK have done more for television than the likes of Cowell could do in a thousand years of trying.

But it wasn't comfortable viewing last night, and I thought that he found Adrian Chiles to be a complete buffoon.

I reddened whilst watching it.
