I don't believe the "tide" is turning. What I do think, however, is that the tabloid-hungry public {who assume moral superiority as a God-given right} are now squealing as a result of feeling the tiniest fraction of a perception of the life long persecution which they advocate in the strongest terms for those who actually have comitted an offence.
Sure, this is a ludicrous and odious law.
However, it is the result of the hysteria in which they themselves have been oh so willing participants. This is what happens when you demonise people.

I should, I'm sure, be siezed with some kind of glow on receipt of such plaudits. Instead I have a sort of sinking feeling. No one has said I am wrong and why I am wrong. Probably because I wish I was wrong. This is the depressing reality.
