our police are wonderful aren't they? 14 Years, 7 Months ago

First they spray CS gas at point blank into the face of a man already handcuffed. The they beat and tie up his girlfriend when she complains about his treatment. The, just for the heck of it, they restrain and arrest a 16 year old girl who happened to be standing nearby.

All caught on video.

Truly shocking. Saw it on the ITV news last night and it was given an excellent commentary by the reporter. How can they get away with these sorts of things. The POLICE are the new thugs. But will any action be taken against the officers.

I refuse to watch the increasing number of TV shows which encourage police to over-act their parts by smashing down doors and acting like maniacs in front of cameras. One night there was three hours of real life "Cops" beating up real life "bad guys" spread across the channels.

The only unusual thing here is that they were caught on video. Many of us know about similar incidents,the police often go 'over the line',thinking they are beyond the very law they are here to uphold.Even if caught they seldom get properly punished.
