Interesting.
I actually dont agree with sex outside marriage/long term relationship.
Yet even I can see the stupidity of our current laws which encourage people to BREAK THE LAW on a regular basis.
The laws are wrong at the moment - as I mentioned before our Government uses the current law to actually blur the whole issue.
At the moment the current law is being used as a method of criminalising some people but not others. There is no justice in that.
According to the law 50% of everyone UNDER 30 should be in prisonh for 15 months. That means the current law is either wrong or un-enforceable.
The law makers need to make a law that is 100% enforcable with the same sentence for EVERYONE who breaks it.
e.g Person ( male of female ) has sex with person under the age of consent and therefore gets jailed for 2 years. This means that judges enforce the SAME law. Much like we get the same BIG MAC from each Macdonalds. Soft judges let too many people go - harsh judges use show trials to give loads of years to celebs etc. If we continue to have blurry law in this area it will continue to attract false allegations. Finally - evidence must be provided for prosecutions - not just a story.
