I would start my speech by saying - Thank God for the BBC; can you imagine a country where there was no unbiased broadcaster? Can you see the BBC saying they would back one party over another? The moral corruption of Fox News in America is a dangerous one when news gathering organisations support parties solely for their own commercial reasons.

Thank God The Sun has nailed its morality to the flagpole and said - Support Rupert Murdoch and Vote Tory.

Do you really want The Sun and the News of the World running Britain?

Murdoch has backed New Labour for 12 years and won each election for Blair. They just dont like Brown.

What FOX NEWS does in the USA is that it forces other news channels to look for the alternative story.

In the UK all the news services report the same stories from the wires with no journalism involved at all most of the time. The BBC war reporters are good - but outside them the output is stodgy and poor compared to the BBC prior to the recent years.

Do we want a country ruled by Rupe? No. We will have one anyway but let's keep it as far away as possible!

sadly I think Britain has now reached that stage -whoever wins the next election you will still get a politician as PM...not a leader.

Australia reflects the UK in so many ways it's amazing to watch how politics unfold in Britain.

The ABC was under the same sustained attack the BBC is under..yet an independent review finally found that the odious John Howard (booted from his own seat) supported slavishly by Murdoch was lieing repeatedly that the ABC was "left' biased. It wasn't and in fact had given the conservatives more air time than the left.

Kevin Rudd perceived early on in his campaign that News Ltd was the enemy and that people had had a gutfull of tabloid lies..he sidelined them at every opportunity and the more Murdoch's papers attacked him the better it was. They looked like what they were..complete reptile bullies and it backfired badly. Rudd now enjoys an unprecedented 70% approval rate and looks set to rule as long as he wants.

News Ltd political pundits are now roundly laughed at and ignored..hence they've ramped up their sex scandals and celebrity razzle dazzle. If British politicians ignored the Sun & Co they would all win. They won't though.

Thing is, JK, we've HAD a c(o)untry run by Mad Murdoch for the last disasterous 12 years. He gave NuLabour his support in return for dictating the UK's stance and involvement with the EU, hence we didn't give up the pound for the euro
