League of Gentlemen 14 Years, 7 Months ago  
Starring the wonderful Jack Hawkins who, I now discover, turned down the original role of the barrister eventually played by Dirk Bogarde in Victim.

On Ch4 this afternoon; wonderful film with some great lines like, on being asked if his wife is dead "No, I'm afraid the bitch is still going strong".

Agreed JK. A wonderful movie. Theres been a remake in the pipline for a while now. I hope they dont update it.
