Dentist! 14 Years, 6 Months ago  
I spent all morning at the dentist - I've been going to the same one in Harley Street for 60 years. Well, same address, different dentists (Scots for decades, then an American, now Iranian).

I didn't realise when I was younger that old fillings need replacing with new technology stuff. Still involves anesthetic and pain though.

Half my face is numb.

I had a spell of treatment back in '92,nice Indian dentist up north.Always peckish afterwards,straight down the cafe,bacon and eggs were ok with a numb mouth,but the can of Dr Peppers often found its way over my shoulder by accident.

Why do dentists always insist on trying to engage in conversation with you whilst they plunder your mouth? It's not like getting one's haircut is it!

The words 'open wide' once spoken means we are about to endure a lot of pain or a great deal of pleasure.

The dentist and the lover ultimately the most intimate of relationships we have. Combine the two and you'll always have great teeth if not great sex.
