Yet another reason not to vote New Labour at the next election.

It's not just a reason not to vote Labour. It's a reason to vote for somebody other than Labour, even if it's only the Monster Raving Looneys. A vote for somebody else will register as a disapproval of Labour. To simply not vote, or deface the ballot paper will be dismissed as apathy or a form of anarchy. If everybody who doesn't approve of Labour actually gets off their ass and votes for somebody else, then the message will be very clear.
