TOPIC: Death Penalty for bombers
#51533
Death Penalty for bombers 14 Years, 6 Months ago
With relations howling in vindictive hatred - the words of those desiring death could be transposed into a speech by the killers... the only difference is that they want someone else to do it for them.

I despise death penalty advocates and always have.

bloody hell

if they want another 9/11, another 7/7, another Madrid bombing, then go ahead and excecute.

some people have no understanding whatsoever of cause and effect (irrespective of right and wrong).

In a perfect world you could have the death penalty. However here, with evidence obtained under torture and duress, you run the risk of a miscarriage of justice.

We will never have a reliable justice system where we can be sure of getting it right. Those howling for blood now reminds me of the 1970s,and how so much howling for blood then led to the police cheating evidence, and innocent Irishmen spending 15 years in jail for a crime they could never have committed.

Any world which had the death penalty could not be a perfect one, IA. We can never use one person's crime to justify our own.

I have a better idea, let them out (would'nt want to breach their human rights now would we) so they can do exactly the same thing again and kill more innocent people.

Carl's contribution is typical of the pro-CP brigade; essentially it says "what's wrong with killing people?" at the same time as condemning killers as the worst criminals deserving to be killed.

And they never see the irony or contradiction.

The answer, Carl, is "lock them away and protect the public from them".

How do you know what they did Carl?
The only proof for this is from admitted liars and torturers.Hardly proof now is it?

Exactly IA - just like the Glitter/Ch4 "docudrama" (disgraceful) but if they had used someone like Sally Clark (executed and then proven innocent) - after all, she's dead now as a direct result of the corrupt police/media/justice system in the UK.
Or Barry George or Sion Jenkins or the Birmingham/Guildford stitched up or... God there are hundreds of other examples.

"There's nothing wrong with killing innocent people" say the CP brigade. Oops, no, officially that's what murderers say. The CP lot want us to do it for them.

What would YOU confess to, Carl, if you have been tortured 183 times (that we know of) ?
