so rare to see such excellent quality film in colour from so long ago.

usually, films from so long ago are black and white with people moving twice the normal speed. this is the closest you get to being there.

This is like being transported back 80+ years to a city I have always loved.

It always interests me to see old films of London. I saw the Lavendar Hill Mob for the first time on a flight this week - fascinating to see bombed out buildings still (it was filmed only 6 years after the war ended) and recognising areas where I lived 5 years ago. Of course the excellent cast adds to its enjoyment.
