it's very disturbing to read that children so young are being charged..what on earth are they doing to them ?

this one caught my eye :
"Camera ban farce; The Telegraph, Australia, June 08, 2006
The parents of more than 30,000 children across Australia have been instructed not to take photographs of their kids at Rock Eisteddfods"

this is still in force yet just last night I watched the end of year school's eisteddfod on TV and there were hundreds of children filmed for all the world to see !

### which incidently made me realise that Jedward really are at about that standard..school concert !

love 'em though.

I've never experienced Jedward. I saw a photo of them where they looked very 80s, but have no idea how they sound.

I agree about the TV point. I was watching a Ray Mears show where he was photographing naked kids in an african village, and was being filmed doing so by his cameraman. Images which were then broadcast around the world. Was he exempt because he's on TV, or because the kids were savages, or because he was overseas, or what? I saw no harm in what he was doing, but it did highlight double standards within the laws.

Yes, there definitely are double standards at play here and the meaning is clear. If anyone wants to collect photos or film footage of naked children, then they should always photo or film African children...preferably, although not necessarily...with a mud hut in the background. After all, their defence could be: "If it's alright for Ray Mears or a BBC or ITV or Sky News reporter to do it, then why shouldn't anyone be allowed to do it?"
