Re:BBC finished : Jonathan Ross quits 14 Years, 3 Months ago
What gets me is that BBC News is asking it's readers : 'Will you miss Rossy?'
Well we won't miss him will we? Do the BBC think we don't have access to ITV or whatever channel Rossy has fled to to escape his paycut? The BBC is totally missing the point by asking the question and by paying him such an obscene amount in the first place. The BBC awarding presenters such grotesque contracts (our licence money) is a joke when all it means is we press a different number on our remotes when we want to watch them.

I think I have to agree BR..if the BBC was reliant on Jonathon Ross then it is a sad day. I like him but it isn't like it's the end of the world-frankly I prefer David Letterman.
I seriously doubt also BBC management could justify his salary in these days and I doubt he will match it anywhere else..he should have taken a paycut like most of the Hollywood stars will soon have to.
Besides-who will produce our bonnet dramas if the BBC goes ?

Let's remember, the BBC is a large and varied corporation and contains some of the very best in the world as anyone watching LIFE will confirm.
Problem is - those at the top, as with government - are terrified of the tabloids and have lost their backbones.
Offering too much money provokes lack of imagination and is caused by lack of courage in finding new talent to nurture.
Just like music (majors), politics and everything, really.
Only the Internet - new and small (ingredients) survives.

The absence of an over-rated chat show host won't worry the BBC when we all have the wonderful Matt Smith to look forward to. The fact is that Wossy lost his broader appeal a long time ago.
