A huge campaign has been run for GAVIN and STACEY to stay on our TV screens. It has been a fantastic series.

They are saying there might be a special.

Why not a CHRISTMAS SPECIAL For the next 10 years - each year a one hour 15 minute feature length episode to update everyone on the year in the GAVIN and STACEY world.

BBC Christmas Schedules has been awful - Gav and Stacey / Doctor Who apart the BBC has very little worth watching anymore in Light Entertainment.

Therefore, the BBC should tie them to a 5 year deal for Christmas Day. I think that they would get 10 million plus each year - with a chance to add viewers through each year through a Box Set.

It is a really good series because it is very realistic in a way that the Royle Family etc are not. It shows a culture clash and some very complex relationships and the FACT that most people are very very very strange.......really strange.

In the final epi it was hilarious to see the girl travel to her wedding in a trailer ( Trailer trash joke ? ) in her full wedding regalia - yet hardly anyone in the small Welsh Town batted an eyelid and the one liner she came out with whilst stepping off her throne at the church was class.

Great comedy - up there with Fawlty Towers for me - and I think it will grow as a cult programme because they have not watered it down by having too many series.
