Is everyone who goes to ETON a "TOFF" ? 14 Years, 3 Months ago
So according to New Labour everyone who goes to ETON ( or any Private School ) is now a TOFF !

How can that be ?

Many of the richest people in society have never been near ETON or a Private School.

In fact looking at the modest house Cameron lives in - in inner London - and not seeing himi having some Country pile with hooray Henries and green wellies and loads of servants sort of mystifies me completely.

Can someone tell me when going to ETON or a private school qualified people as TOFFs ?

It seems to me as ridiculous a claim as a ) Weapons of Mass Destruction b) Swine Flu beinge the same as 1918 c) Global Warming being caused by humans d ) The Abolishing of Boom and Bust........

Now let me see who made these 4 claims......

I rest my case.

I do seem to remember that it was Cameron who, when asked in an interview, could not remember how many houses he and his wife own.

Anyone who reads 65 will get a very fresh view of public school life.

Being a toff myself, I'm sorry to say I don't trust Cameron, think Brown is well intentioned but misguided and Clegg isn't serious, which is why I reckon we go for a hung parliament this year.

So long as David Cameron paid for his own houses with his own money, he can own as many as he likes as far as I'm concerned. Though I'm not sure why anyone wants more than one in the UK. We are quite a small country.

I do recall BR that in previous posts you've refered to certain elements of society as chav's. If your'e going to have a go at Labour (again), make it worthwhile. Your point reeks of desperation.

So by that definition TONY BLAIR who owns a massive mansion in the country and a massive mansion in Marble Arch stretching through three properties - as well as various other houses is a TOFF.

Cliff Richard has loads of houses - he is a TOFF

Ozzy Osbourne has loads of houses - he is a TOFF

JK - yes you went to private school and Oxbridge and have been very successful - so you are a TOFF.

But are TOFFS bad people ? Dont think so.

Therefore the whole argument about TOFFDOM is totally stupid.

You're losing it BR. Some of your posts recently have beggared belief. Can it get any more extreme? Probably. Have to admit though, it does give me lift reading them.
