And I was never much of an Only Fools fan but this was superb; clever, funny, original - congratulations to my old friend Gareth Gwenlan.

Nicholas Lydhurst was incredible in it; sensational.

I cannot tell you how good this was - do watch it on iPlayer if you missed it.

It was pretty good. Glad they didn't try to make it an overtly funny programme with a chuckling live audience. Scope for at least one follow on story.

Brilliant - totally awesome and very good historically. As for Freddie the Frog - he was sensational.

Is there going to be a follow up ? There has to be. This would be a smasheroo at Christmas or Easter.

In fact why was this not a Christmas or Boxing Day special ? It would have cleaned up.

The lad playing DELBOY is a star and his mum was just stunning as Freddie's love interest.

The ending was fantastic as well.

Totally agree - I PLAYER - watch this or even buy it on DVD when it comes out - it is that good.

It was better than I ever thought it was going to be. This will be a series. I'm sure.

I watched half an hour on sky+ and wasn't that impressed.
The acting from the teenagers/young men was a bit wooden. I will watch the rest if everyone here seems that it will be worth while.

These spin-off shows never really do very well. Who remembers "First of the summer wine", "the green green grass", "grace and favour" and other such unsuccessfull spin-offs.
