What a waste of taxpayers money these cards have become. They are easily cloned and copied in any case unlike a passport which has more pages etc. So they are a Terrorist's way in !!

Last week the BBC wheeled out a handful of people who claimed they wanted ID cards, but the most wonderful moment was when one man who had already bought an ID card under the pilot scheme said that when he tried to use it hardly any establishment would recognise it and they'd insisted that he bring his passport or driving licence as proof of ID instead.
