WHy we should CUT the Met Police 14 Years, 3 Months ago
This shocking organisation is double the size it needs to be. With crime falling the Police numbers should be cut accordingly as well.

Plastic Plods are a total waste of money - and should be cut back to just the Borough funded ones. None should be funded by the MPA. This instantly would save millions to spend on frontline police work.

A cut of a THIRD in Police would also be a great idea. At the moment 80% of police sit in offices or their cars and contribute nothing. This has to stop. If you suffer crime it can take weeks to get the Police to attend. They are busier filling out forms and being politically correct arresting opponents of the Government etc. and chasing PC causes.

A return to CRIME policing is essential and that would mean thousands of job cuts.

Londoners dont want to pay a MASSIVE council tax rise this or next year to pay for these lazy plods. What help do we ever get from them ? none.

Cuts have to be made. But lets make them in the Police NOT the schools or hospitals. The POLICE are overpaid as well - that has to stop. The overtime culture in the Police doubles the cost of policing. They need to set shifts and keep to them. Like teachers if they go over their allotted time then they should not be paid for it - they are public servants not commercially paid. It would mean they quickened up what they do.

For instance if someone gets arrested often they put them in a cell and wait 6 hours to question them - why ? so they can sit in their offices and not have to do any work and then it makes a full day !!! LOL How this has been allowed to develop is beyond me - they are the most wasteful publicly funded organisation - and with massive cuts coming they have to be first in line.

The whole Government budget needs to be cut 20% for next year. Most of that should come from silly projects - non jobs - and the Police.

I'd like to see policing split up,as in the USA.
Perhaps a locally elected sherrif, then some form of national police.

Many countries split up law enforcement, stops one entity getting out of control.

This example from the press today shows why we need to cut the Police - they have too much time on their hands because they are overstaffed - read this and weep.

www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1246662...ini-faces-trial.html

Blowing your nose is now a crime in PLODLAND.

The funny thing is that the POLICE actually will fight this case in court - they are that out of touch and have that much time on their hands.

Too many POLICE in the UK.

It is time to get rid of all PLASTICS and a THIRD Of the other POLICE.

The savings should go to HEALTH and EDUCATION and DEFENCE ( if we have to fight wars then at least our soldiers can have vehicles and helicopters that work properly )
