I'm more horrified by the various hard nosed responses from the public who probably don't know any more about the case than I do. I dare say that if a totally different person had been found guilty, these same people would be saying the same exactly things about them. They refuse to believe that the system ever gets it wrong - until it turns on them. I hadn't heard of this case and have not seen any of the evidence, so I cannot comment on whether this man was guilty or not. I do know, however, that miscarriages of justice do happen, and so I have to keep an open mind in cases such as this. Judgements made by ignorant members of the public lead to such horrors as 17th century witch hunts and are more dangerous than those they point a finger at.

a shocking story. On the evidence of the reporter..and I've found investigative reporters who look into crime do actually do their job, it was an outrageous conviction on the slimest of circumstantial evidence.
I've found when the media dubs a crime with a title like The Lady In the Lake murder, the accused virtually has no hope.
