Another shocking example in Australia as a jailed man is free after false claims of rape.

This time..it's the Australian Federal Police (AFP) in the sights of lawyers suing for $45 million.

The AFP have a record of accusations against them of falsehood, outright lies and false imprisonment. They are a federal force hated by their state counterparts who are rumoured to view them as corrupt, political and incompetent.

Their head recently was allowed to quietly retire after his actions in detaining the Indian Doctor Haneef after the Glasgow Airport bombings even though a Scotland Yard terrorism expert cleared Haneef.

Haneef was freed after News Ltd journalists ( doing a great job for once) exposed the incompetent questioning of Haneef by AFP officers who may have been encouraged to test laws and arrest someone-anyone ! Haneef is negotiating a settlement for millions$$.

The AFP meddle throughout the South Pacific and are hated throughout the area for their gung-ho attitude.

They pursued the Solomons Attorney General Julian Moti for claims of rape in the Vanuatu which had already been thrown out of court there. Everyone thinks that was the real reason-to change the head of government.
Moti was extradited from the Solomons after the government collapsed there and jailed for over a year awaiting trial. Charges were quietly dropped about 4 months ago. He'll probably sue for God only know's how much.

The AFP were rumoured to be behind the downfall of a popular British TV host over false claims in Sri Lanka. They lord it over Asian police forces and do dirty work for Scotland Yard on the strength of the huge amounts of Australian aid handed out. You get the money but you have to take the cops along with it. I can forsee the eventual problems this will create with Indonesia.


I had my own run-in with them about 7 years ago when on a plane I sat next to a dreadful high profile self appointed "child right's" campaigner who trawls Asia. Sources later told me she is an AFP plant. The vile woman got pissed as a rat and groped me before I got myself upgraded to get away from the creature. I should have had her arrested and sued the airline.
