Just watching the news about how many girls are physically bullied by their boyfriends. They interviewed one woman about how she had been repeatedly bullied, and they were on about what girls can do to avoid such bullying.

My view is that if a girl is bullied by her boyfriend she should dump him and make an end of it. Why do these silly girls pursue such relationships? If they love the boyfriend so much and are of legal age then they should be assumed to consent to the bullying if they choose to keep meeting with and going out with him. Why waste so much time and money setting up committees, etc. to help girls who won't help themselves. It's not as if we are talking about people being held captive or even living together.

Yes I was watching this too and thinking - this is the way life is; these are the lessons that get learned; this is the way some boys and some girls behave and banning them from it will never do any good. Teaching kids how to cope and grow may improve matters; telling them not to let people behave the way some do never works.

What about the battered boyfriends? I talk as someone who was regularly used as a punchbag...spat on...and even pissed on. I did report it...but because I was fat and ugly the polce simply shrugged their shoulders. Boyfriend of the time simply batted his eyelids, and shook his long wet ash blonde hair like a novice Leonardo Di Caprio.

My Titanic sank without trace... Then as soon as I wrote him a letter I was greeted by half the county's constabulary.
