I wonder if any jurors from a few years ago were serving on a jury where one member accessed the Internet and read details of other unconnected charges or claims?
The latest report speaking of the danger of judges NOT warning jurors about Googling defendants during a trial highlights the possibility that old convictions may well not be safe.
I bet some convictions were the result of someone Googling the defendant's name and finding other, unconnected allegations from earlier media reports that influenced wrong conclusions.
