TOPIC: 5 Days - really enjoying it
#55224
5 Days - really enjoying it 14 Years, 2 Months ago
Tonight's Episode Four was excellent - the best yet. I'm loving it. David Morrissey has been superb and the lead girl with the silly name (I gather she was in Coronation Street and I think she was in that terrific Vincent series) is great.

A very well made, intelligent show. My only grumble (am I getting old and deaf?) is that I find the sound rather muffled.

Anne Reid is wonderful in it and although many critics regard it as too slow and not dramatic enough, I'm loving the fact that it is nuanced and honest and seems to reflect real life as opposed to dramatic life.

I like the fact there are lots of fairly simple sub-plots and I still have no real idea what is going to happen to them. Particularly interested by Bernard Hill's (Gisajob) character as there seems to be something sinister going on there. Hope it's not a huge anticlimax tonight!

Glad you mentioned the sound. I thought it was either me or my TV going on the blink. (Note no comma between me and or!).

I'm really enjoying it, and being on every night, it's like reading a book each evening and having to put it down before getting to read the next chapter. (Luckily, the evenings haven't been too busy this week).

That, and beautifully sunny days. What a lovely week this week has been. Roll on summer!

I haven't seen any of this.

It's been sunny here but very cold too. A layer of snow on Tuesday despite there not being a cloud in the sky. Just right for a BR conspiracy theory. Where has he gone btw? He's very quiet.

Absolutely wonderful television; gentle, intelligent, the perfect antidote to the 99% of current TV which thinks only hysteria and shouting and extremes can entertain.
Wonderfully ordinary; I loved it.

Wonderful programme, and agree with you totally JK.

A great story, and the ending didn't disapoint.

Can we have another 5 parter this week please?

And an average 6.5 million viewers - a big ratings success I'm pleased to say.
