The 'realities' of war I hasten to add being what brought about the war to start with and what political decision making is behind such conflict.

The reality of war in Afghanistan seemingly having no clearer justification than the reality of war in Iraq.

Both wars have been brought about US interpretations of world events. Both wars are equally unjust in my view. And Britain should have zero role to play in them.

I applaud rather than castigate the soldier in question.

Jail? No f**king way!

Disgusting. But then again he'd of been welcomed a hero if he'd stayed and been blown to bits returning to Wooton Basset in a box.

Where's the big "deal" in this story??? You sign up for military service and you serve you're country for the duration. Don't play ball and live with the consequences. What did you expect FC? and what does this have to do with BR??
