I found this site quite by accident. I have a 45 rpm record of his that has Everyone gone to the Moon. On the backside is a song called Round Round. Come out around 67'68' when I was in high school. Does anybody remember the song and the movie it was in? Let me know. Have a nice one.
Hello Ray - Round Round was a hit in California but not anywhere else - I don't think it was ever in a movie but I have fond memories of it; one of the very few anti-drug songs in the 60s. You can find it in glorious digital sound on my Box Set of 8 CDs!
This would be Decca and their 1969 re-issues from their back catalogue. "Round round" was a single in its own right a couple of years earlier and is a superb example of JK's ability to write, sing and produce great songs.
On the flip of my copy of Everyones Gone To The Moon I have 'Summers Coming' - not 'Round Round'. They are both great though and put 99.9% of B-sides to shame.
This is Mr King's personal viewpoint on the drug-taking scene and should earn him plaudits from many sections. That apart, it's a darned commercial sound all round and could easily click. (Awarded 4 stars.)
