I've often found this odd.

How come we can get any part of our body fixed on the NHS, except our teeth. What is the logic behind this? Our teeth are as important as many other body parts, yet the NHS excludes them.

I have taken advantage of being on Income Support to get lots of minor work done. However, I think that once I'm back in work I'll go to Hungary for my dental treatment. The quality of their dentists is very high and it's very cheap. I had root canal treatment over 3 sessions and it cost me £25. That was 10 years ago when I still lived there but even at today's prices it must still be a bargain.

I understand why many Austrians hop over the border to get their dental treatment in Hungary.

Anyway, any ideas as to why teeth are singled out by the NHS?

My Hungarian stepfather goes back all the time for dental work. He's a fussy bugger which can only mean its worth the trip and its cheap as chips too.

By the way David, the NHS does look after your teeth.
