Question Time last night- worth a watch 14 Years ago
Ming Campbell was excellent- why oh why did the Lib Dems oust him?

David Milliband was ok but defensive (the tone of the whole Labour campaign so far)

Theresa May should have been better.

Simon Schama has arms that wave about so much that they distract from whatever he is warbling on about.

Sorry I can't remember much of what the Sunday Times woman said.

Anyway, in spite of my comments above, it was a very informative prog with some great moments, such as the second item- the Conservatives' attitudes towards discrimination.

Miliband strikes me as a totally untrustworthy type. The weird stubble above the top lip and the bird crap grey spot on the hair don't help, but it's when he makes a point of saying 'Gordon' instead of 'the Prime Minister' he most sounds uncomfortably Iago-like. If I was Gordy I'd watch him like a hawk. Thanks for the tip, though, I'll watch the prog!

They thought {because they are believed that they needed their own "youthful" Blair clone} that Clegg would be more user friendly than "old" Ming. Clegg is, in my view, yet another snake oil salesman.

You're right, of course. And Charles Kennedy was similarly great on This Week immediately afterward.

He's marginally preferable to his brother, who remains one of the very few people I'd happily be prepared to slap really hard. I'd trust him slightly more than a few of his equally oh so desperately ambitious compadres, but only by a few millimetres.

Yeah, they're all being so careful, aren't they? And her defence of Grayling's position was little short of pathetic.

If you found his histrionics disturbing, you may wish to consider the impression I very quickly formed that he appears to be disturbed. Or on something. I know he said a lot of things. But I don't think I remember any of them and, frankly, he almost had me nodding off.

Me neither. Other than the comments she made which suggested at least latent homophobia.

As usual, the proceedings were slightly marred by Dimbleby's constant interruptions and pathetic attempts to play the tough guy. Give Eddie Mair the job full time and you'll have a truly interesting programme. Either that or dig up Robin Day. Even dead he'd do a better job than Dimbleby. He's great in almost everything else he does. No idea why he's so awful on QT.
