Heartbreaking to think of this channel when Jeremy Isaacs was in charge. It was glorious then. Now...I'm stunned at how its become a shameless haven of laziness. Tonight they had a 'comedy roast'. Now I have a huge collection of comedy roasts going back to the great Jack Benny. I like them. They worked when they featured people who knew how to use their wit. But this tripe was stunningly weak. Every 'comedy' programme they have on C4 these days is pre-programmed to mildly entertain some idiot male, circa 24-27, pissed out of his head, for about 23 minutes. It usually features Jamie Carr, using the 'f' word when he has an old joke to pass off as a new joke, and the 'c' word when he has no joke to pass off as any old joke. Don't get me wrong, I'm no prude, I loved Peter Cook's Derek and Clive albums, but Cookie knew how to make even the most vulgar things seem comically poetic. These lazy little creeps don't even try to be witty. It's redundant crap served up for people who can barely hold in this evening's vomit. Woeful rubbish.

Agree entirely Miz Minge. Frankie Boyle would do well on Channel Four...he uses Downs Syndrome as comedy material... 'look at those stupid people with their pug like faces, silly hair and rubbish clothes...'
