Grand National 14 Years ago
I know this is not the Tip Sheet but I thought I'd share my tip for an outside chance at today's Grand National.

Horse No.10, My Will started the day at 80-1 but now stands around 25-1

Another couple to watch are No.18 Beat The Boys and No.29 Ballyfitz.

I hope I haven't just doomed them to fall at the first.

Seven, JK? Although with such a race it's not too unsafe to put £1 on each horse and hope an outsider wins it.

well, if I had to choose one other I'd add No.8 Tricky Trickster.

That's three of my seven Cat! £10 on each - if none of them win, I'm £70 down. If my shortest odds one does I make £160.

JK wins Don't Push It (after the second Hedgehoppers song) at 20-1... £210! Just off to collect from William Hill my friend.

I think only my 4th choice, Tricky Trickster, finished.

I didn't even hear them mention My Will. Must have gone early on.

Ooops!

My Will went early - I was on him too. But my favourite, King John's Castle (of course) earned my undying admiration for deciding he was no longer interested in this silly race and refused to start! What a delight.
So I thought - oops, bad day.
But good old 17 year old ran terrific and better still Don't Push It (my song was actually Don't Push Me - recently rewritten as Plead Guilty) pushed it brilliantly causing me to shout at the telly and whoosh - there he was, 20-1, £210 collected.
