Would any of us on here be reacting in the same tolerant way if, say, Cameron had been caught saying it? I doubt I would. We all get a bit hypocritical during these campaigns, let's be honest!

I'm sure if David Cameron had left his mic on and said such a thing he would be lampooned by both Labour and Tory supporters.

The main story here is that the PM had a successful confrontation with an average voter, fielded questions to her satisfaction, securing her vote, but then decided it had been disastrous and, through his own carelessness, lost that vote within minutes of securing it. This shows a major lack of judgement by the man at the top.

A "non story" that just put paid to any (fast fading) hopes that Labour may have had !

This morning's Sun headline is (as usual) quite brilliant - "Mrs Duffy only popped out for a loaf - and came back with Brown toast" !!! LOL
