I accept that there are people who will say they are not Christians and many who in fact will go further and say that religion can be very bad. That is EVERYONE's right in free speech.

However, now in the UK if a Christian preacher talks about Homosexuality as a sin it is now an arrestable offence. This is quite obviously ludicrous. Either the state believes in God and Sin and therefore agrees with the preacher or the state takes a neutral stance and lets citizens have beliefs - even if they disagree with them.

The POLICE seem to be a force for the DEVIL in the UK as far as I can see. They kill people without consequences and arrest those who believe in good and have faith in God whether Christian or Muslim. We are seeing our country turned into a NEO NAZI state by these extremists in ACPO who have taken over the POLICE SERVICE and are unelected and are using their extremist views to flavour the ordinary POLICE to enforce laws against those of faith in the UK.

I just hope that CAMERON ( and CLEGG ) when they form the next Government stop this and restore FREE speech.

By all means disagree with the PREACHER but in the words of those who have fought for our free speech disagree but respect the right of the person to hold such views AND not seek to persecute them for them.

Homosexuals will start to see counter arrests and harassment by straight people if they take such an aggressive response via the POLICE towards those who hold differing views.

The EASTENDERS story has highlighted the tensions between the Muslim faith and homosexuality in a sympathetic way showing BOTH sides of the argument. Surely the POLICE can respect the views of both people of faith AND homosexuals - and not try and start a war between those holding differing views.

The homosexual people I know are generally loving and caring people - as are the Christians and Muslims I know. I have never seen a problem in reconciling my beliefs in this area. I just find that the POLICE are once again trying to sow the seeds of conflict and ACPO particularly is a dangerous organisation which should be closed down.

Sounds like this guy needs a few witnesses to come forward to counter the claims by police that he was preaching homophobia. However, as it is not illegal to publicly promote Christian teaching - the Head of State also being the Head of the Christian Church - and Christian teaching being against homosexuality, I don't see how he could possibly be accused of an illegal act in this context.

This seems to be more about the police rallying round one of their offended members. The PCSO in question should grow some thicker skin.

What annoys me most is the fact that our Country is in debt and we are all being asked to pay MORE TAX to fund such prosecutions - which everyone can see are not in the Public Interest.

I would like to see the PUBLIC INTEREST RULE used more by the CPS to stop such cases going to court and send out a clear message to the POLICE that they will suffer the consequences if they continue to arrest people without a just or good cause.

At the moment the POLICE seem to harass law abiding citizens more than serious criminals ( of whom they are afraid )
