Very amusing in the sheer incompetence on display, and, once again, one of the members of the LibDem Shadow Cabinet, Lynne Featherstone (Youth and Equalities Spokesperson), underlined what a hopeless ragbag of mediocrities are sneaking around behind the chilingly ruthless Cleggmeister. Why the media hasn't torn the LibDem team to shreds is a mystery!

Same with me; far and away the best on prisons, immigration, Europe... Trident... Cable best Chancellor... and I cannot stand Cameron and think Brown is a well meaning disaster.

Fair enough. I just find their under-the-radar dirty campaign and their exceptional shortage of decent talents within the shadow cabinet very depressing.

For the first time in my life I was out leafleting recently (for the Lib Dems). The reaction I got was pretty friendly. Interestingly enough, one gentleman I spoke to said something very similar to your comment above, JK. He said this was the first time since 1965 that he will not be voting Labour. He said that he believes Gordon Brown is a genuinely well-meaning person, but totally unsuited to the position of PM.

The Liberals are totally wrong on Europe. They are a party of the Upper Middle Class and ignore the working ( or not working ) People of the UK at their peril.

Europe has destroyed nearly a million jobs in the UK. That is the FACT of the matter.

There are One Million households who are now poorer than they would have been.

The Liberals are idealists - all very well - but it is easy to vote Liberal when you have money.

Only the Conservatives are offering any help to those with very little. The LABOUR LIE ( amongst many ) is that the TORIES will make it worse. No they wont. We need to see the money diverted from expensive Public Services and given back to the working people of the UK. Not an army of penpushers and form fillers that contribute nothing to society.

The Liberals have no policies that are workable. They have no policies for instance on the BIG BROTHER STATE - and the Conservatives will dismantle that immediately. This alone will free up Police time and Prison Cells and improve things.

We need to vote CONSERVATIVE. A vote for the Lib Dems is to vote more people out of work and it could lead to GREECE style riots if we have a hung parliament and then the big cuts are made by a co-alition on idealogical grounds RATHER than grounds of efficiency.

When you see the BALLOT paper tomorrow are you really all going to vote LIB DEM when you know in your heart that only the TORIES can stop NEW LABOUR and the destruction of the country.

Cameron maybe very ordinary - but at least he cares about the Country and will do his best. Frankly Clegg and Brown seem to be in it for the money and fame. Cameron needs neither.

We CAN CHANGE things if we vote TORY. It is the last chance we will have to save this country or we will be seeing riots on our streets within weeks. If CAMERON sacks the Police and Pen Pushers then nobody will mind as long as essential services are left alone and tax is frozen and kept down. The alternative Liberal and Labour governments will continue to employ the waste - and push up your taxes to pay for it and cut services massively at the point of delivery. That cant be right.

Thatcher showed in the 1980s how a recession could be turned into a boom and again Ken Clarke in the 90s. The TORIES have a track record of picking up the pieces after LABOUR disasters ( 1979 ) and EU Disasters ( 1991 ) which have led us into debt before. Let them try again.

I have one friend who says that since she has been watching Nick Clegg on TV she believes he'll be the best choice for PM. So I asked her if that means she'll be voting LibDem. She replied "Oh no. I never vote."

It's possible that many of those wooed by the hansom, charming new incarnation of Blair are from the same group of none voters. The only poll that really matters is the one that takes place tomorrow.

I've watched Clegg for many years, and I'm amazed anyone now falls for his Blair-lite routine. He's a very ruthless flip-flop policy politician with a very similar background to Cameron, but Cameron looks more obviously patrician than he does. I'd never, ever, vote Tory, but the semiotic slipperiness of Clegg really repels.
