I saw this film too and wasn't very impressed. Like you said the first hour was totally boring, the last 1/2 hour picked up a bit and there were a few mild laughs, not many. Morris's writing doesn't really lend itself to a drama, but more to the faux documentary style of BrassEye.
This film would be better suited to tv, in my opinion it was £8.20 and 2 hours wasted at the cinema.
