Playing Doctors and Nurses is now a CRIMINAL OFFENCE and a life on the SEX OFFENDERS register beckons.

We should now ask ALL MPS and POLICE CHIEFS if they ever played DOCTORS and NURSES or SPIN THE BOTTLE whilst a child/teenager.......and Judges of course.

Looks as if the whole lot of them should be signing the SEX OFFENDERS REGISTER If the CPS get there way.

Time to stop KIDS going to court under the AGE of 16 unless they have murdered - and even then it is not right ( Bulger case proves that ) - courts are not set up for this.

The AGE OF CRIMINAL RESPONSIBILITY should be 16 ( The same as the age of SEXUAL RESPONSIBILITY)

Yes kids can do wrong things - but we need to educate kids not condemn them for their mistakes. Surely we are now enlightened.

This poor girl has been FORCED INTO COURT by adults who want COMPENSATION - it smacks of that. She does not even realise what they are up to. The POLICE AND CPS want sacking - they should have realised the story was just that - a story that people make up to hide their worries.

The only reason I can see for the judge not stopping the case immediately and acquitting the boys is that it's a better story to allow it to proceed and a further example of the child abuse so beloved of media and judiciary - let the boys suffer for another 24 hours. However I don't know the details of the case - only the media reports which I don't trust so let's allow the judge to decide - but if, however, he dismisses the case today instead of yesterday, it will be a disgrace.

Extraordinary; both probably couldn't spell the word rape, let alone do it. The girl said nothing happened so now it's "attempted".

Some attempted justice in British law would be nice.

Everything about the coverage of the decision is surreal. There's the CPS spokesperson who projects adult platitudes on to the girl as if she's Cheryl Cole or someone after a fling with Mr Wrong: Apparently the girl now 'faces the struggle to try to rebuild her life'. I don't want to dismiss any distress she's had, but come on: 'rebuild her life'? - she's EIGHT! And all the coverage has focussed on what the girl may or may not understand - nothing about what the boys may or may not understand. It's the grown-ups who sound as though they should have been in the dock.

Incredible that they have been accused of ATTEMPTED rape.....er.....at that age. Totally crazy that kids showing each other their bits can be now found guilty in a court of law and become SEX OFFENDERS at 10 years old.....they did not have sex - that is now proven.....

Just what has this case achieved? Except wrecking the lives of three young kids,& costing the taxpayer hundreds of thousands of pounds.

It is time for the Head of the CPS to resign. It is NOT fit for PURPOSE.

We need a NEW JUSTICE system. Based on COMMON SENSE and on TRUTH - not form filling tick box justice which claims people are criminals when they have not done anything wrong.

Still VERY ANGRY about this case. It is shocking for these children - all three of them - the poor little girl will feel very guilty for the rest of her life knowing that these two lads will have no life - no job - be treated as outcasts for being sex offenders. Poor kids have not even gone to Secondary School.

I clearly re-call doing some phsyical things at the same age with 2 other boys-twin brothers-that sound similar to these events before we were caught by my mother. She didn't scold-told us to get dressed and sent the twins home as it was dinner time and it was never mentioned again.

I can't remember any sort of sexual gratification but it was clearly very youthful exploration and I was talked into by the others.

One twin died much later but the other is now a highly successful and well know businessman in London..should I claim rape and sue for compensation and say it ruined my life ? (I could use the money )

And last weekend I went to the talk given by writer Christopher Hitchens (looking remarkably handsome and dapper...clearly on the wagon). He spoke of having homosexual relations when he was young.

During the question time I should have explored more and asked if he broke the law!!

Any shrink/psychologist will tell you that youngster's brains are still developing into late teens and that is why you get teenagers..17/18/19 killing themselves in car crashes because their brain cannot conceive the concept of their own invincibility.

The Guardian is right.. a challenge for a new government which they will no doubt ignore.
