I would say "only in America", but we'll probably be doing that in the UK soon. I notice the government are wanting to scrap or, at the very least, seriously amend the Human Rights Act. We already ignore ruling from the European Court of Human Rights.

The American institution sounds like the one Louis Theroux visited a couple of years back. It's the only time I've known Louis Theroux to appear uncomfortable.

Why blame Obama for a ruling by the Supreme Court? He does not control their decisions.

The report says
The main plaintiff in the case, Graydon Comstock, was certified as dangerous six days before his 37-month federal prison term for processing child pornography was to end. Comstock and the others filing suit remain confined at Butner Federal Correctional Complex near Raleigh, North Carolina.
so it seems that it is not only for rapists.

Why blame Obama for a ruling by the Supreme Court? He does not control their decisions.

The ruling was seen as the first victory for Elena Kagan, Obama's choice as Supreme Court chief judge.

At least Americans are going to learn (like we did with zanulabour) that the left can hate sex as much as the right.

Solicitor General Elena Kagan successfully argued the government's case in front of the Supreme Court. Kagan has now been nominated to replace the retiring Justice John Paul Stevens.

Kagan in January compared the government's power to commit sexual predators to its power to quarantine federal inmates whose sentences have expired but have a highly contagious and deadly disease.

"Would anybody say that the federal government would not have Article I power to effect that kind of public safety measure? And the exact same thing is true here. This is exactly what Congress is doing here," she said.
