a terrible tale but this line in the Mail is just such a hoot-

"She appeared overcome with emotion and seemed to be in tears at the sight of the money as she drank red wine at an apartment in Mayfair"

can't wait for Private Eye's version.

The News of the World is an odious paper. But then Sarah Ferguson is a worthless arrogant parasite. I can't really work out who I dislike more.

I'm surprised that there is no law-as there is in Oz and the USA, that prevents the recording or filming of people in private without first asking their permission.

Well, there are laws, aren't they, SORT OF? But with quite a few loopholes, as, surely, there are in the US equivalents?
