It's profoundly depressing it's taken so long for even the odd mainstream mumble to be heard. We all know about the tabloid mentality, but where has been the old dignified and principled liberal voice in the media? Plenty of self-styled liberals, but they're all mute. There were countless examples in the previous decades that now get sneered at as conservative by glib pop documentaries on BBC4 and Channel 4, but now in this supposedly liberated, deconstructively hip, polysemically tolerant generation...nothing. We just get loads of people creeping up when they think no one is looking to put an arm around the latest victim and say 'Of course, I didn't agree, but, you know...' Nothing but cowards out there, charging noisily at safe targets while turning a blind eye to these big instances of injustice and irrationality. It's vomit-making.

Truly dreadful story not just because of the human cost.

The CPS once again have undermined the Court System of the UK.

Whichever person at the CPS let this trial go ahead should be SACKED.

No wonder the JUDGES are annoyed.

Since the CPS went INTO POLICE STATIONS ( Yes that is where they are based ) they have lost all sense of reality and what is right / wrong.

They prosecute crazy cases now with no respect for anyones' human rights.

Time to take the CPS OUT of POLICE STATIONS.

that is a truly horrible story and I can't magine what the poor guy went through.

You know working in the media I find incredibly closed minds-the majority just do not connect the dots but it will happen at some stage.
