Smacks of FALSE ALLEGATIONS - does not sound right.

Another example of how HISTORIC allegations can be used against ANYONE.

This surely has to stop.

He has probably put away alot of REAL PAEDOPHILES and one of them is getting their revenge on him - or their families.

We will have to wait and see.

What is suspicious about these sorts of cases is that this bloke has been accused of nothing before those dates and nothing since. REAL PAEDOS carry on offending all the time and are usually caught out quite early as being weird and hanging around school playgrounds etc.

It only goes to show how bad this situation actually is.

Here's another rather bewildering instance of a judge appearing to excuse one side's hazy memory whilst demanding perfect recollection from the other:

Judge Anthony Bate started summing up the case at Cambridge Crown Court yesterday, reminding jurors that the allegations referred to a time when Margaret Thatcher was Prime Minister and the Falklands War was coming to an end.

He said: “There’s a head-on conflict in this case regarding what both sides are saying happened. Witnesses can’t be expected to recall with absolute clarity events which occurred 30 years ago.”

Since when did the UK Court System put on trials where there is no evidence as admitted by this judge. Just an accusation ?

Surely this is against EVERY principle of UK Justice.

It basically means ANYONE can be accused of ANY sex offence 10 or 20 or 30 years later - with no evidence and then dragged through the courts.....and each accuser gets a PAY OFF.

What a fantastic way of settling old scores or gaining revenge on a past partner who let you down - and so on.

Surely this has to be stopped.

Lets hope the JURY has common sense.

Jury has no common sense

www.cambridge-news.co.uk/Home/Second-twi...abusing-same-boy.htm

Took them 3 hours

Judge says "LONG SENTENCES"

So now we are seeing LONG SENTENCES for accusations WITH NO EVIDENCE

Surely someone in the MEDIA will take this up and start to kick up a STINK.

It really smacks of a POLICE STATE where you can be convicted and jailed for many years without any evidence.......just because someone SAYS you are guilty.

That is truly a FRIGHTENING situation - ANYONE and I mean ANYONE can be jailed now if they fall out with people....even people they dont know I suppose because how can you prove you dont know someone - it is impossible......

I'm afraid to tell you, BR, I have never met one of my alleged "victims".

It's been going on for a decade to my personal certain knowledge.

The two twins in that case won some sort of community award a few years ago for all their good work locally - naturally that fact now seems to have been expunged from the record. I wouldn't pretend to know what has or hasn't gone on, but I don't like this sort of reporting one bit. It stinks.

That is just awful. Just awful.

How can anyone prove anything if they have not even met the people who are doing the accusing.

The evidence bar needs to be set much higher in these cases. That should be campaigned for by TEACHING UNIONS - CARERS UNIONS - and anyone with any common sense.

The MEDIA need to redress the damage they have done to THOUSANDS of people who have ended up behind bars and had their lives ruined by such things.

FACT ( An organisation that represents Teachers and Carers ) say that 90% of cases that go to court like this end in a conviction and sentence ( usually on no evidence )

I cant understand how a judge can instruct a jury to convict on just an accusation. When I did jury service in a Crown Court EVERY JUDGE said the opposite in each case I did - they were very clear on proving beyond reasonable doubt and that gut feeling and just the accusation was not enough for us to convict someone. It HAD to be proved.

Admittedly that was back in 1997 - before NEW LABOUR wrecked the justice system so that criminals now get away with things and the prisons are packed with Sex Offenders convicted on no evidence.

There are now so many Sex Offenders in prison and on the register soon the authorities will not be able to monitor them all - and then the REAL ones will start to re-offend and NOT GET CAUGHT again for years. This is appalling news for children as well.

In regards to the first story, the websites states he abused girls under the age of 16 between 1977 and 1982. As he is either 44 or 45 (depending on which website you read) he must have also been under 16 at the time!

It seems to be a very false allegation to me.
