So now we see FOREIGN JUNKETS and investigations as part and parcel of a normal day for a Herts Policeman.....

So around a million pounds will be spent chasing this man for offences allegedly committed as far back as 2005.

When the rest of us are expected to reign in our spending it seems MONEY IS NO PROBLEM for our POLICE. So when you hear of them saying "They have not got the resources to respond to when you are robbed or your car vandalised or your road has anti social behaviour " you can say BUT YOU FIND A MILLION POUNDS to chase one bloke half way around the world ? How does that work ?

It seems that THE POLICE want to go abroad on TAXPAYERS MONEY based on these stupid laws.

They will say " we will spend what it takes to protect one child " - but the reality is that children like BABY P are happening ALL OVER The UK and our POLICE turn a blind eye to this because it is far better to get on a plane to an exotic destination than to go to some violent and smelly chav estate where their Police car will be bricked and set alight.

This is why NO ONE seems to have any respect for the UK POLICE. They just are not fit for purpose.

I would suggest to them that investigating ABUSE in the UK should be the PRIORITY - not chasing off to ASIA or USA or where-ever.

I do hope that CAMERON and CLEGG put a stop to this - and CUT MONEY HERE rather than on FRONT LINE Services.

I agree! and after all of the ´painstaking´ investigation, and all of the money spent, it will be interesting to see what basis this charge is being brought... The word of one ´victim´ over the accused? (or is it alleged that there was an audience?)

If not, then all of this money has been spent, and many police man hours wasted on a flimsy accusation at best?

As said above, pity they can´t spare the cash to investigate crimes committed in the UK instead of paying for holidays investigations abroad!
