Paul Merton's really coasting these days. Except when a chum like the painfully embarrassing Bruce Forsyth turns up, he just adopts that comedy Rorschach test expression of his and sits in silence. At least Hislop still makes an effort, but his habit of craning his neck round to address the audience is getting very tiresome. The show needs a good producer to kick some backsides and raise the standards.
