I was in France and rooting for France - watched one of the games with my French friends in Reims - celebrated the French win with the natives in Nice - the place went crazy.
Ah, happy memories. I won't be in South Africa though. Never been there. Must go.

Mark my words, the vuvuzelas will drive people nuts this year. They've started selling the wretched things in supermarkets now - loads of little kids honking on them non-stop. It'll all end in tears.

You really must go to SA JK. Been lucky enough to visit Cape Town three times and believe me that is not enough. Id go back again tomorrow if i could afford it. The views, the beauty of Table Mountain , the friendly welcoming people and the wonderful music. Fantastic place.

Is it just me or does that stadium resemble a tyre - the ones that they call "necklaces" when they are put around opponents necks and set alight ???!!!

You're quite right Pru, those annoying horns are already driving me crazy; moaning on behind all the commentaries and live sound.
And any DJ allowing them on air during a music show deserves to be shot.
