I gasped the words "red card"!
Yes, it was madness, but the Greece player only collapsed in a heap after he realised it would prompt the red card. A bit cynical, that, but the foul was truly idiotic.

We all tend to criticise refs, but they get paid a fraction of the money that players get and most players would cheat, given the chance.
Why doesn't any interviewer or journalist ever ask the likes of Drogba, Ronaldo, Owen et al., Why do you dive in order to fool the ref that you've been fouled?

Quite. There are some irritatingly pompous ones (Graham Poll in the past, and now Howard Webb irks me a bit - he seems to enjoy the limelight a wee bit too much) but in general they have a ghastly job. I always laugh when players run the ball into touch and then put their hand up asking for a throw in - even with all the cameras around they're like little kids!

Whoops - a stinker of a red card decision by the ref in the Germany v Serbia match - exactly what happens when you give a yellow card for an innocuous challenge and then have to produce another soon after. Far too fussy.
